Will you distract me tonight
When I am about to close my eyes
Me, lying next to the window
Counting the stars in the distant skies
With drooping eyelids
But with sleep a bit far
Thoughts spilled so many..
But dreams yet none ajar

Will you disturb me tonight
When I grope for a hand to hold
My fingers needing to circle the warmth
As I float in nowhere...
An unknown comforting space
Me, oblivious to what's around
As dreams get ready to carve a place

Will you be with me tonight
As I live the night in deep slumber
Dancing with memories
And my heart weaves new stories
Of laughter, togetherness ...
In an irresistible world
Darting away the realities

And when the sun arrives
Yellow haze through my window
As I stretch for another daylight
